Matt Bohon steals the show in front of family and friends

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (February 25, 2007) – Matt Bohon (Cole Camp, Mo.) learned first hand tonight what it feels like to be the hometown hero. In front of his home state crowd, he claimed the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Classic event title and $30,453 dollars for his efforts. Stop number 9 on the Built Ford Tough Series Presented by Wrangler (BFTS), proved to be a weekend of rank bulls, sizzling rides and wrecks, and a big payday for the Missouri cowboy.

Bohon entered the Built Ford Tough Championship Round in second place to Aussie, Brendon Clark (Morpeth, Aus.) The crowd erupted when the Missouri cowboy took Texas of Chad Berger/Dakota Cattle Co.’s for an 89.25 point trip. As the only bull rider to cover all four of the bulls, Bohon walked away with the prestigious Enterprise Rent-A-Car Classic event title and 30,453 dollars richer.

When asked about his win, Bohon stated: “It feels just great. The whole family and a bunch of friends are here, so it feels great to win so close to home. Plus, it’s nice to win in the hometown of my sponsor Enterprise Rent-A-Car, especially at its title event.”

You can catch Bohon and the rest of the top 45 for the third and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round tonight on VERSUS at 8:00 p.m. EST. Please check your local listings or visit http://www.pbrnow.com/media/tv/ for the complete broadcast schedule.

The BFTS makes uninterrupted stops from now through the end of April, promising bull riding fans one of the most intense and grueling races in national sports to decide who will wear the million dollar PBR crown at the end of the 2007 season.

BEHIND THE CHUTES:

Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s “Ride with the Best” Match-up Bonus: As the winner of the Amp’d Mobile Invitational in Anaheim, Calif. Greg Potter (Queensland, Aus.) was eligible for the Enterprise Rent-A-Car “Ride with the Best” bonus money in St. Louis, Mo., a potential $15,000 bonus check. Potter was unsuccessful in rounds 1 and 2, but made a qualified ride on Re-Vamp of Chumley Cattle Company’s, awarding himself $5,000 dollars.

Ford Truck Moment of Truth Bonus: Australian cowboy Brendon Clark (Morpeth, Aus.) led the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Classic going into the Built Ford Tough Championship Round. Had he won the event, Clark would have taken home the bonus of $10,000. Clark did not finish the event in the top spot, therefore the Ford Truck Moment of Truth Bonus increases to $15,000 at the next BFTS event in New Orleans, La.

Ford Super Duty Challenge: As the event winner, Matt Bohon (Cole Camp, Mo.) has qualified for a chance to compete at the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals, against all other 2007 Built Ford Tough Series event winners, for $50,000 toward the purchase of a 2007 Ford Super Duty Truck. The Ford Super Duty Challenge contestant who finishes the highest in the event aggregate during the 2007 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals will win the Ford Super Duty Challenge.

Bully Dog Short Go Top Qualifier: Brendon Clark (Morpeth, Aus.) was awarded $2,500 for being the bull rider with the highest cumulative score (i.e. highest in the event average) going into the Built Ford Tough Championship Round and for properly displaying the Top Qualifier Patch.

Salem National Lease Bull of the Event: Copperhead Slinger of Chad Berger/Ryken/Larson accrued a 45.25 bull score, which was enough to claim the High Marked Bull the Event title and $1,250 as a part of Salem National Lease’s exciting bonus program. The program awards $1,250 to the top bull of the event as determined by the PBR judges’ bull scores.

Cabela’s World’s Foremost Ride: The “Iron Man” J.W. Hart (Overbrook, Okla.) recorded the highest marked ride of the event when he topped Texas of Chad Berger/Dakota Cattle Co. for 90.5 points. In doing so, he earned a $1,000 bonus. Rocky McDonald (Col. Juarez, Mexico) is in the lead for the Cabela’s World’s Foremost Ride bonus of $25,000 with his 92-point performance in New York City earlier this season on Page & Teague Bucking Bulls’ Sunshine.

The rider who achieves the highest score at each BFTS regular season event during the 2007 BFTS regular season excluding the PBR World Finals receives a bonus of $1,000 for the event. The PBR athlete who achieves the highest marked qualifying ride during the entire 2007 BFTS regular season, excluding the PBR World Finals event will receive $25,000, while second and third place finishers will be awarded $10,000 and $5,000 respectively. The bull rider that achieves the highest marked ride through the course of the entire 2007 PBR BFTS World Finals will earn an additional $10,000.
