TUMS Racing Searching for the Most TUMSworthy Tailgate Temptations

PITTSBURGH (March 28, 2007) – TUMS Racing is looking to pit the best chef of the speedway, against the grill master of the grandstands and the culinary expert of the campgrounds. The winners will take home bragging rights and the top titles in the TUMS Diner Delights cookoff at Texas Motor Speedway.

On Saturday, April 14, 2007, TUMS will hold the Diner Delights cookoff with an all-star judging panel at the TUMS “Dinermobile” located in the Fan Concourse area (exact location) searching for the dining delights of the race track that make the weekend unique. Fans are encouraged to bring their best race track specialty that wows their friends, amazes their families and attracts perfect strangers to their campsites. TUMS knows that race weekends are full of food, fun and fast action that can sometimes lead to heartburn and indigestion. But with TUMS, there’s no need to pack it up and go home Just “pit” for a little fast relief at the “Dinermobile” exhibit in the fan concourse area and continue enjoying the weekend.

TUMS is celebrating the art and science of campground cuisine in honor of their primary sponsorship of the No. 41 TUMS Dodge Charger for Reed Sorenson in the race at Texas on Sunday, April 15, 2007.

“It’s always amazing to see what race fans are cooking at the campgrounds,” said Reed Sorenson, who will greet the winners of the TUMS Diner Delights cookoff during a pit tour on Sunday morning. “I grew up around race tracks and I’ve had my fair share of track cuisine, so I’m anxious to see what the fans at Texas Motor Speedway have in store. I’m sure the winning dishes will all be TUMS worthy.”

Preliminary judging runs from 11 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, April 14th, with the final round of judging immediately following from Noon to 12:30 p.m. The all-star panel of judges will rate the dishes and score them on:

· Taste

· Originality

· Preparation

· Appearance

· Creativity

Three semi-finalists will be selected in each of the three categories:

· Hottest Heartburn – Serve up your spiciest sensations. There will be plenty of TUMS on hand to provide fast relief

· Most Likely to Inspire Indigestion – Go ahead and indulge. Fat-free, skinny diet dishes need not apply

· Most TUMS Worthy – Use your imagination and tempt the judges’ taste buds in this “anything goes” category

Then, the judges will select the top dish in each category.

The category winners in the TUMS Diner Delights Cookoff will each win a TUMS pit tour for two on Sunday morning and a TUMS Diner Delights trophy. The nine semi-finalists will take home a TUMS t-shirt and a TUMS Racing flag. All participants will receive a TUMS hat and TUMS gift pack.
