“The past two weeks have given the No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Avenger team time to make improvements on our COT.  Phoenix is a lot different than Bristol or Martinsville, so we’ll have to see how the car performs at the larger track. We think we found out during the Richmond test why we weren’t as competitive at Martinsville, so there will be some changes on our COT when we get to Phoenix.  My guys have been working hard on it, and we’re not going to give up by any means.”

“Last year we had a lot of good things happen early in the season.  This year we’ve had a lot of things go wrong and haven’t had the results. Hopefully this will be the week we get things turned around for all the No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Avenger fans. We’re all trying to work together and make things right. When it happens, we’ll be strong.

“We had three great Evernham Motorsports racecars at Bristol, but didn’t get the results.  It’s been that way this year for all three teams.  We’re not far off. When we get it figured out, we’ll have three cars running strong again.  I’m confident that will happen soon.”
